When listening to songs in another language...?

Should you read the lyrics at the same time? I'm learning French and I'd really like to improve my fluency but sometimes I have a hard time understanding what words they are saying. So should I keep listening to songs without reading any lyrics or should I read the lyrics? In French, of course.
