Foreigners who have learned to speak FLUENT Tagalog?

I speak good conversational Tagalog, but can't call it fluent. I settled here to join my Filipina girlfriend, and we got married a few months ago, finally. I am a fast learner of languages, and I learn by assimilation. Not any formal lessons - just trying to converse and understand what is being said. I repeat their words to make sure I understand. I also try to read local newspapers, with my wife explaining to me what I can not comprehend.
