Why does my singing voice sound staccato?

Let me explain. I have a good singing voice, and i know this because i have a professional mic that i use to record on my computer. But Any who, When i sing, My voice is staccato. Like every word i sing it separate from the last. So it sounds a little choppy instead of fluent. I have really good pitch and tone, but for some reason it sounds like every word is a new sentence, Like: It. Sounds. Staccato. Like. This... But not so robotic. I just want to know if there are any techniques i can use to improves fluency and smooth instead of choppy. Well. Its not that the choppyness is bad, but its not like some singers where all their words meld together, Its more so you can hear every word im saying. So please, advice is greatly appreciated.
