What is the best way to learn basic Portuguese before I go abroad this summer?

I am participating in a health-studies exchange program over the summer in Portugal and would like to learn some of the language before going. The language requirement is fluency in English, but I still think traveling would be easier with some knowledge of the language. Does anyone have a recommendation for the best book/software/website/program to learn basic Portuguese? It would be great to know how to get around and basic conversational things, but if anyone also has recommendations for health affair Portuguese studies that would be wonderful.
