Starting a career in dog grooming? Any info?

Im thinking of looking into dog grooming either doing a course at college or homestudy as i love animals and i especially love cutting my little yorkshire terriers hair and i am also a hairdresser. I have got a opening evening next week at the college to see what it is like but i would like some information on it before i go. So this is to any dog groomers out there is there any books you can recommend or any websites and did you go to college or home study just any information you have would be great to hear from you.
