Pet Groomers at Petco job question?

There is a position open for a petco grooming assistant ... i was wondering if anyone could tell me if this requires actually knowledge of how to groom a pet. being an assistant i thought it would be more of helping the actually groomer with taking dogs for a bath, paperwork, clean up etc. what type of grooming would an assistant do? and if someone with no experience professionally have a chance to get the job?
