Does cutting your dogs hair too short cause stress?

I have a big shaggy black dog. I get her cut down at the beginning of summer every year. For a day or 2 after she is very shy,then she is back to her old (sweet) self. Dogs aren't that fond of change. They like to follow the same regimen day in,day out. I'm sure they must feel exposed once the hair is gone. Your doggy should be fine. Just give her time to get used to it.
